Basically this idea is that 16 guys from the alliance would enter newbuilds for a tourney hosted in my org: GMMA then whoever won could have bragging rights over the rest of the alliance, seems a good way to get a bit of community going, I don't know how much alliance record is of a factor though I guess if it was of major importance then this couldn't happen cos we'd win in a 1:1 fashion

Good idea, but I'm not too sure if that'd help the alliance record. Want a good alliance record to show that we're one of the best, if not thee best alliance out there.

I'm not worried about the alliance record. I got a better idea; why don't we get a list of managers to participate and I'll be a captain and Slapstick can be a captain. Then do this: *we'll flip a coin or something to determine which captain picks first, then we'll pick a team of 8 managers. *We'll use both fight orgs (slapsticks and mine) to host fights, basically we'll rotate weeks, and have a playoff system style where the overall winner of regular events host the championship event *We'll then flip or whatever to determine which captain gets to pick who fights who in round 1, the loser gets to pick which fighters from each team fights that week *the team to win overall gets to again pick the match ups (maybe) *Do like a total of 4 or 6 fights (whatever, we'll figure it out).
Maybe something along those lines.... Slapsticks teams have to create their fighters where his org is and my team has to create fighters where my org is? what ya think?

I'm up for it. If it helps out the Alliance then okay. This could also mean more people will use my gym in Helsinki, so sounds good

Well; we need to get a general idea when to start this thing: I can't make a fighter until around the 3rd or 4th of June, likely.
I think we should have at least 10 managers interested at this point in the game. I can send out one more mass email listing the participating managers and see who else wants to take a crack.
*If creation age is 18, then I would suggest allowing training for 6 weeks before any fighting, after the 6 weeks fights should happen every 2 weeks to keep things rolling nicely. That means that we'd have to make sure we have enough slots open to host these fights on cards and make sure we are able to book venues properly for the dates we determine. I've got venues in Helsinki book through the end of July, so I have a lot of options early on and freedom later on, too. *Contracts: I'd suggest $3600/$1200/$1200 to start ( we can figure out the total cost of signing bonuses and split the difference if we use both our fight orgs). *We can split the contracts up in two segments: The first 4 fights would be the starting contract, as listed above: That contract would be signed to either yours' or my org. The second segment would be a pay raise in contracts which we can determine later on: maybe we branch it off based on how well the fighters did to start (4-0 record gets larger of contracts 0-4 gets a raise but much less) again we can split the difference in cost of the signing bonuses. The second segment of contracts will take place at the other fight org (yours' or mine). Now the trick part is making the venues work: So, if I have the first segment of contracts and round 1 fights take place in Helsinki that means you're fighters would have to travel to Helsinki to participate in the fight. Then I host the second round of fights, but this time I have to book a venue in your location, which means your fighters would already be in the location and mine would have to travel. Now, unless I can get other fighters (not in the tournament) to participate in the travel, then I'd have to host a 5 card fight, which means I'd probably book a micro arena to save on cost and still fill it up. The best option is to find fighters in our orgs that would be ok to travel out of location to fight...might have to offer a bonus pay for traveling. *We'd need to determine a fair way to decide: Who gets to pick first (teams), who gets to either choose which segment of contracts they want to host, who gets to pick the match ups in round 1 fights and determine if the winning of round 1 fights gets home field advantage or do we just rotate venue locations each round to keep it on the even? I typed a lot of shit just now, hope it all makes sense and you can grasp everything I've said. Ask question, go into further detail of what I've said or offer additional suggestions.

Just getting around to reading this post.
I havent looked at the location of the Orgs or what it would cost to move a fighter from point A to Point B. For a guy like me it could cost quit a bit of cash. If this is still open and it wouldnt cost too much Id be interested in joining though.

traveling is only a $100 per day. you would want to get there a couple of days before so you could rest up, but it shouldn't cost you more the 3-400 bucks. Yes moving would be expensive though probably 8k.
And yes im still down for this tourny, even though i dont think im very good at tournaments, judging by the hardcore league tourny.
